Black Pepper-Onion Bread


The onion and pepper give this delicious bread bold enough character to serve with grilled or broiled meats or poultry.
 
Ingredients
1-Pound Loaf
2/3 cup water
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon SPICE ISLANDS® Minced Onions
1/2 teaspoon SPICE ISLANDS® Medium Grind Java Black Pepper*
1/8 teaspoon SPICE ISLANDS® Garlic Powder
1-1/2 teaspoons FLEISCHMANN'S® Bread Machine Yeast
1-1/2-Pound Loaf
1 cup water
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons SPICE ISLANDS® Minced Onions
3/4 teaspoon SPICE ISLANDS® Medium Grind Java Black Pepper*
1/4 teaspoon SPICE ISLANDS® Garlic Powder
2 teaspoons FLEISCHMANN'S® Bread Machine Yeast
*If using a finer grind of pepper, reduce the amount to 1/4 teaspoon for either loaf size.
   
Bread Machine Directions
Use the 1-pound recipe if your machine pan holds 10 cups or less of water. Add ingredients to bread machine pan in the order suggested by manufacturer. Recommended cycle: Basic/white bread cycle; medium/normal crust color setting. Timed-bake feature can be used.
