Quick Cajun Jambalaya and Cajun Garlic Bread

each red and green bell pepper, diced

large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes, undrained

Cajun Garlic Bread (recipe follows)

Heat butter in large saucepan over medium-high heat; cook onion and bell peppers until soft, about 5 minutes. Add ham and shrimp; cook until shrimp turn pink, about 3 minutes. Add tomatoes with liquid, seasonings and rice; cook 5 minutes or until heated through. Serve with Cajun Garlic Bread.

Cajun Garlic Bread

|

teaspoon ground red pepper
|
|

|
teaspoon dried oregano or basil leaves
|
|

tablespoons butter, melted
|
|

loaf French bread, cut lengthwise into halves
|
|

|
|
|
|
Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir garlic powder, red pepper and oregano into butter in small bowl. Drizzle butter mixture over cut sides of bread. Reassemble loaf; wrap in foil. Bake 10 minutes.
