1 medium onion, thinly sliced
4 tablespoons butter, melted, divided

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time about 30 minutes
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Sauté onion in 2 tablespoons butter in medium skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes or until tender. Add apples and sauté 5 minutes or until apples are tender.
2. Stir 1 cup cheese, 1 cup French Fried Onions and remaining melted butter into apple mixture. Transfer to greased 9-inch deep-dish pie plate.
3. Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes or until heated through. Top with remaining cheese and onions. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Tip   To save time and cleanup, apple mixture may be baked in a heatproof skillet if desired. Wrap skillet handle in heavy-duty foil.

Variation   For added Cheddar flavor, substitute French's® Cheddar French Fried Onions for the original flavor.
