Pilaf with Broccoli, Walnuts & Cheese

tablespoon margarine or butter
|
|

small onion, chopped
|
|

cloves garlic, minced
|
|

(4.3-ounce) package RICE-A-RONI® Long Grain & Wild Rice-Original
|

cups broccoli flowerets
|
|
1/2
|
cup coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans, toasted
|
|
1
|
cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese or crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
|
|

1. In medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt margarine. Add onion and garlic; sauté 2 minutes.
|
|
2. Add 1-2/3 cups water, rice mix and Special Seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover; simmer 20 minutes.
|
|
3. Stir in broccoli. Cover; simmer 5 to 10 minutes or until white rice is tender. Stir in nuts and top with cheese.
