Blue Cheese Burger
Yield: Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
1-1/4
pounds ground beef
1
tablespoon finely chopped onion
1-1/2
teaspoons chopped fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
3/4
teaspoon salt
Dash black pepper
4
ounces blue cheese, crumbled
Preparation:
1.
Preheat grill.

Combine ground beef, onion, thyme, salt and pepper in medium bowl; mix lightly. Shape into eight patties.
3.
Place cheese in center of four patties to within 1/2 inch of outer edge; top with remaining patties. Press edges together to seal.
4.
Grill over medium heat, covered, 8 to 10 minutes (or, uncovered, 13 to 15 minutes) to medium (160°F), turning once. Serve with lettuce, tomatoes and Dijon mustard on whole wheat buns, if desired.
