Yield: Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
1-1/2
pounds ground beef

1/3
cup chopped green onions

2
tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1/8
teaspoon black pepper

1/3
cup pineapple preserves

1/3
cup barbecue sauce

6
pineapple slices

6
hamburger buns, split and toasted



Preparation:
1.
Combine beef, onions, Worcestershire and pepper in large bowl. Shape into six 1/2-inch-thick patties.

Combine preserves and barbecue sauce in small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring often.

Spray grid with nonstick cooking spray. Prepare grill for indirect cooking. Place patties on ggrid over medium coals. Grill, covered, 8 to 10 minutes (or, uncovered, 13 to 15 minutes) to medium doneness (160°F), turning and brushing often with sauce. Place pineapple on grid; grill 1 minute or until browned, turning once.

4.
To serve, place patties on buns with pineapple.


Broiling Directions: Arrange patties on rack in broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat until cooked through (160°F), turning and brushing often with sauce. Broil pineapple 1 minute, turning once.
