In large bowl, combine 1 cup flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt. Heat water, milk and butter until very warm (120° to 130°F). Gradually add to dry ingredients. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Add eggs and 1/2 cup flour. Beat 2 minutes at high speed, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in remaining 3/4 cup flour to make stiff batter. Spread evenly in greased 9-inch square pan. Arrange apple slices evenly over batter. Sprinkle Crumb Topping over apples. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Bake at 375°F for 35 to 40 minutes or until done. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack.
Crumb Topping
Combine 1/3 cup sugar, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons cold butter or margarine and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, using a pastry blender to mix all ingredients until coarse crumbs form.
